With an order from Sephora, I chose this sample kit: Ole Henriksen : 3 Little Wonders. I’m not very familiar with Ole Henriksen and was excited to get to try three of their products at once – especially the Invigorating Night Gel.
How I Used It:
On the first night, I noticed that the Invigorating Night Gel (ING) felt mildly tingly – it might be too strong to use nightly, as suggested, if it feels this tingly every night. When I put the Sheer Transformation (ST) on top, it melted in nicely but felt kind of sticky about 10 minutes later.
In the morning, my skin felt smooth and soft so that’s positive.
I applied Truth Serum Collagen Booster (TSCB) and enjoyed the texture. When the ST went on, it disappeared and didn’t feel sticky. By the end of the day, my skin didn’t feel any more or less oily than usual, which is a win in my world. Plus, every time I washed it while using these samples, my skin felt smooth and soft.
On the second and subsequent nights, the ING didn’t feel tingly so I can see how it can be a nightly use product. It does feel tingly on any breaks in the skin and blemishes so it’s definitely effective.
– All of their products are made with natural and botanical ingredients.
– Invigorating Night Gel – I like this product. I might even love this product if it came in a pump. When products like this come in jars, it’s harder to be specific about your dosage, which is important with any kind of serum.
– Truth Serum Collagen Booster – I like this product. It comes in a pump. It’s a Vitamin C serum that costs less than $100.
The Not So Upsides:
– I wish either the Sheer Transformation was 2oz or they included an AM moisturizer with SPF. You’re almost always going to run out of the lotion before the serums, even if you do use less of the serums per use than the lotion. But that’s a small gripe (no pun intended).
This is a great kit to get you started with using both AM and PM serums. I definitely recommend trying it if you want to increase the longevity of your youthful looking skin.
